Pesto Pizza

The default sauce to use when making pizza is a red, tomato sauce. But pesto also makes a great pizza sauce. Make the baguette bread recipe. 1/2 per pizza. Roll/stretch it out to the desired thickness. Slather with the usual 1/2 C of sauce, in this case, pesto. Top with torn fresh mozzarella and some sort of strong flavored veggie and some sort of processed meat.

Barbeque Chicken Pizza

Yes.  The abomination. Old timer pizza makers are turning in their graves.  Don't care.  It's delicious. So there.

Crust:

  •  make the baguette dough recipe, including dividing the initial rising in half. Each half makes one pizza dough.

Tostada Pizza

Gluten-free masa crust with layers of spiced refried beans and cheese. Like a huge tostada.

Crust:

  • 1 1/4 C Masa (Quaker brand preferred)
  • 1 1/4 C warm water
  • 1/4 t salt
  • mix until it forms a smooth ball
  • press out into an oiled cast iron skillet, at least 10", 12" preferred. Using a bench scraper makes it easy to spread out and smooth.
  • pre bake at 425 F for 10 min to set the crust
