The base unit of a World of Color Sipper Cup is combined with a candle holder from Dollar Tree and a dome constructed from a 2 L plastic beverage bottle. In this example, the centerpiece is a castle light-up ornament, but virtually anything could be chosen, instead.
For this hack, we start with components taken from a Glove . The board LEDs are snipped off and the leads fitted with female-female Dupont cables. Diffused RGB LEDs are inserted into the end and slipped into fabric rose buds from the Dollar Store. Florist tape conceals the wiring and the assembly is placed into a vase. Good for anytime but do think about Valentines Day!
Now that we have some light pipes available, courtesy of the Glove device, we can try to use them to make some simple shapes. For this one, interlocking hearts are the target. It's Valentine's Day! So let's go for some MWM hearts for our Valentine.
The base portion of a World of Color Sipper Cup is used as a base for some Dollar Tree light-up figurines. Adding some plastic artificial snow enhances the diffusion and lends a nice effect. Easy hack.
Light-up ornaments/figurines are plentiful and often can be had for very little money. Here, holiday themed light-up ornaments were purchased from Dollar Tree that work well as free standing figurines. Components taken from an Ear Hat were placed underneath and concealed with accessory decorations.
The Headband product is already a bow. All that's needed is to release it from the Headband and then combine it with some similarly colored ribbon to light up any number of possibilities.
The featured product is a holiday wreath. However, it also works as a bow for stuffed animals, on wrapped presents, etc.
This hack is dead simple. From the moment I first saw this, the "cup" reminded me more of a vase than a soft-drink vessel. The transition is an easy one. Take the cup liner out and throw in some artificial flowers, instead. Without the cup liner, the rest of the product is not water sealed. So you can't use this for real flowers unless the cup liner is replaced with something that is designed to hold water.
